A BIG PROJECT
The project for Darsena Living was a beautiful and very ambitious project that involved us for many months.
The client, an investment fund, had bought a large building in Milan in Porta Ticinese and the plan was to renovate all the flats (over 70), furnish them and rent them out through an online rental platform.
They approached us for the interior design and the art direction of the entire realisation.
We came up with 3 different styles, depending on the type of flat.
The one visible here is the MAD MEN style
Mad Men is an American television series produced from 2007 to 2015, which uses the advertising world of 1960s New York as a mirror to tell the story of the great changes that took place in American society during the decade.
The set design presents a refined, cosy, vintage but upmarket style, with designer pieces, dark woods, velvets and soft lighting.
An atmosphere that, revised in a modern key, we wanted to transfer to the mood intended for the larger flats, from the three-room to the four-room flat.
Here too, colour is not lacking and becomes the great protagonist, framing the rooms under skies laden with colours typical of those who feed on the evocative power of colour.
